Beijing Stopover (4 Days)

Day 1: Beijing Arrival

Upon your arrival in Beijing today, your private English-speaking guide will welcome you outside the Arrival Hall of the airport after you reclaim your luggage and clear Customs. Then a comfortable private drive will take you to the downtown area to check in at a well-selected hotel. After a break, you will have a Hutong tour on a rickshaw to go through the narrow alleys and experience the soul of old Beijing. You will also pay a visit to a Hutong family to see the traditional courtyard house, where several generations lived together in different wings.

Day 2: Beijing (B, L)

After breakfast, we will head to the center of the Beijing city to visit the world’s largest urban square, the Tiananmen Square, which is also the venue to hold the solemn national flag-raising ceremony every day. Walking northward through the Chang’an Avenue for a few minutes, we will enter the well-known Forbidden City. You will visit this largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex constructed 590 years ago under the company of your guide for around 2 to 3 hours. In the afternoon, we will continue this Beijing 4 days itinerary to the Temple of Heaven, an inviolable altar where the ancient emperors offer sacrifices to the God of Heaven to pray for good harvests. For this reason, different from the yellow hipped roofs of the most royal buildings, the roof of the altar in the Temple of Heaven is round and in blue which is the same as the sky.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L)

Please have an abundant breakfast this morning as we will go to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall today. It is an elite section of the China Great Wall, where you can not only appreciate the well preserved defense project, but also enjoy the fantastic views of the meandering wall stretching far into the distance. A round-way cable car has been included, which could save your energy and leave you more time to hike on the wall. However, if you are interested in taking a chairlift up and a toboggan down the wall, your guide will make a change for you.

After that, we will drive you back to the downtown Beijing. On the way, you will have a chance to see the full view of the Bird’s Nest, namely the Olympic National Stadium, which is built for the 2008 Olympics. We will stop there for a few minutes so that you could take some pictures. Afterwards, we will transfer you to a popular local market to explore and relax.

Day 4: Beijing Departure (B)

There comes to the Summer Palace as the last stop of your Beijing 4 days tour. The palace, which was famed as ‘China’s Imperial Garden Museum’, is well-preserved combining the natural landscape with the delicate gardening design. You will also enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Kunming Lake inside. The classic buildings and elegant scenery in the garden will definitely give you a memorable aftertaste. Later, your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your own departure flight home.
