Vietnam War Tour (12 Days)
Vietnam has a long history of fighting for independence. This tour is special designed for you to visit to the destinations which pertain to the war history of Vietnam. In this tour you not only learn about the history of Vietnam but also understand the Vietnamese people.



Destinations: Hanoi – Hue – Quang Tri – Da Nang – Quy Nhon – Nha Trang – Da Lat – Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi (B, L)
In the morning, our guide will show you the most beautiful and interesting sights in Hanoi: One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Temple of Literature – the first University of Vietnam. Next, transfer to visit Huu Tiep lake where the B-52 downed in the war between the USA and Vietnam. After lunch, continue to visit Hoa Lo Prison then take a cyclo tour around Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the 36 streets of the Hanoi old quarter. In the evening you will attend to enjoy water puppets show.
Day 3: Hanoi – Flight to Hue (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for short flight to Hue. On arrival, you will visit the former Royal City of the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties: the Imperial Citadel and recall the battle of Hue during the Tet Offensive. Overnight in Hue.
Day 4: Hue – Khe Sanh – Vinh Moc – Hue (B, L)
Drive to visit the other sites of the former fierce battle fields including the former American bases of Rock Piles, Camp Carol and Khe Sanh. Take a short walk on the Ho Chi Minh trail. Continue to view the war-torn ruins of the Quang Tri church and the wreckage of an American tank. Continue to visit the Vinh Moc tunnels, dug to accommodate an underground village safe from American air raids in the north of the DMZ. Take a short photo stop at the Hien Luong Bridge crossing Ben Hai river, the former borderline between the North and South Vietnam and the site of the former Doc Mieu artillery base on the way to Dong Ha. Return to Hue for overnight.
Day 5: Hue – Da Nang (B)
Leave Hue for Danang, the fourth largest city of Vietnam. City tour, recalling the chaos of March 1975, when the Saigon government abandoned Danang and countless refugees fled the city. Also visit the beach where the US marines first came ashore, beginning major American involvement in Indochina. Arrival & check-in at hotel. Overnight in Da Nang.
Day 6: Da Nang – Chu Lai – Quy Nhon (B, L)
Morning visit to Hoian. During the 16th century traders stopped at this port when travelling en route to Malacca in Malaysia. Continue on the coastal plain to Chu Lai Air Base and see the work of the Sky hawks. Stop at the Son My district, scene of My Lai Incident. Travel along the rugged Animate mountains down to Route 1, sarcastically referred to as “the street with joy” by French soldiers. In the evening arrive in Quy Nhon, a major port and supply depot that kept Route 1 open during the war. Overnight in Quy Nhon.
Day 7: Quy Nhon – Nha Trang (B)
Leave Quy Nhon for Nha Trang, once the headquarters of the US Fifth Special Forces group in the second Corps. Arrive in Nha Trang. Free at leisure. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 8: Nha Trang – Da Lat (B, L)
Enjoy the turquoise water and fine sand beach. Take a boat to nearby Bamboo island for snorkeling, to the Mieu island for a visit to a fish breeding farm and to the Cham tower of Ponagar, a fine example of 2nd century Cham architecture. Depart Nha Trang for Da Lat, a cool mountain city. Its lakes, waterfalls, evergreen forest and gardens make Da Lat one of the most enjoyable places in Vietnam. Overnight in Da Lat.
Day 9: Da Lat – Flight to Saigon (B, L)
In the morning, visit Tran Le Xuan Villa, Lake of Sighs, Truc Lam temple, Tuyen Lam lake, Datania waterfall, Bao Dai Villa, Domain De Marie and Da Lat dried flowers forest until transfer to airport for flight to Saigon, the former capital of South Vietnam, which retains much flavour from the war era. Upon arrival, pick up then transfer to your hotel for check in. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 10: Saigon (B, L)
Today you will discover dynamic city with the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda, you continue your trip on to Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything are for sale. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 11: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
After breakfast, visit Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km from Ho Chi Minh City to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitors a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the US – Vietnam War. Free in the afternoon to discovery the city by yourself. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 12: Saigon Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel, free time until transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
